Join us at AIDS Walk LA!

Join our team and ask everyone you know (friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors) to sponsor your 10K Walk (6.2 miles) to raise money for this year’s AIDS Walk on October 18, 2009. It will be held from 9am-3pm in the streets of LA and West Hollywood! Our goal for LASA is to fundraise $1,000 and we can do it! We should have 25 walkers registered in no time, and if we raise $50 each, we can reach our goal.

LASA’s involvement in this annual event is made possible by our Community Learning and Gender & Sexuality Committees. Week Zero LASA Galore!

Come break the ice and check out what LASA has to offer all throughout Week Zero! You’ll have a chance to get to know your board members, committee members, and fellow Lasero/as just before the start of the new school year! (Click on image for FB Event). Below is the schedule for the week that will bring you memories like no other Latino org on campus:

SCHEDULE:

Monday, Sept. 21:
Enormous Activities Fair at the IM Field from 10am – 2pm.
(Come learn more about LASA and over 300 other registered groups on campus – free food!)

Tuesday, Sept 22:
Westwood Food Night Run at Diddy Riese from 6pm-8pm.
(Get a taste of what LASA has to offer and meet some of your fellow Lasero/as!)

Wednesday, Sept 23:
LASA Game Night from 6pm-8pm.
(Come play some games and have a snack tonight with some chill Lasero/as)

Thursday, Sept 24:
Sports Tournament at Sunset Rec from 6pm-8pm.
(Get your blood pumpin’ over a friendly game of soccer with your fellow Lasero/as)

Friday, Sept 25:
LASA Barbecue Afternoon at Sunset Rec from 1pm-4pm.
(Come grab a bite with some Lasero/as before the school year starts on one of the last summer days by the swimming pools of Sunset Rec.)

All this just to break the ice before our First General LASA Meeting. They will begin Week 1 at 6pm in Humanities 169. Come check us out! You won’t regret it! Hope to see you throughout the week! =)
