Coming Spring Quarter: April 10, 2010

This vibrant and exciting event is a free, all day festival of live music consisting of but not limited to Tropical, Regional Mexican, Latin Alternative, Latin Hip Hop, Brazilian and Latin fusion genres. The Festival also includes Latin cuisine, arts and crafts, games, and dance that celebrates the rich and diverse cultures of Latin America with the UCLA community as well as with the communities in the greater Los Angeles area. Festival Latino is exemplary of LASA’s commitment to fostering pride and diversity.


The Stage
Presents UCLA’s renowned dance groups, UCLA’s student artists, as well as professional and up and coming music groups. (Past performers included Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band, Johnny Polanco Cojunto Amistad, Ricardo Lomvo y La Makina Loca, Yeska, Nuevo Xol, Charanga Cubana, East LA Sabor Factory, La Sonora Dinamita, and Oro Solido)
The Village
A consumer’s delight. The Village is about showcasing the best of Latin America’s literature, artisan crafts, food and games.
The Arena of Consciousness
Allows various businesses and organizations to reach out to a wide audience and promote their services and/or educate the public about their efforts.
